2. IS THE FIGHT AGAINST
OPPRESSION AND TERRORISM HELPING OUR PLANET?
There has been so much news
coverage of war and conflict over the first part of this year, that many, many
issues have been forgotten or left behind. I recently read a small but
significant book by Ervin Laszlo called "You Can Change The World" which,
although not widely known, is a very well considered and structured book which
attempts to define the ways in which we can create a more peaceful and
sustainable world. Indeed the subtitle of the book is "Action Handbook for
the 21st Century" and it includes a Manifesto for Planetary Conciousness
and an Earth Charter - a sort of declaration of how we should treat the planet
over the coming millennium. So is the fight against terrorism helping to solve
planet-wide problems? I would suggest not. We stand at a critical time in
Earth's history. The world is becoming increasingly fragile and thr future,
although holding great promise, also holds great peril. In the midst of the
cultural and political confusion which surrounds us we must recognise that we
are one human family with one home and a common destiny. Surely we should
take our example from the angels who do not distinguish between races, political
views or religious beliefs. Their call is for a higher good which comes from the
heart and soul.
Among many thought provoking ideas, Laszlo sets out
Ten Guidelines for Sustainable Living and I would like to reproduce these
for you and maybe provide some much needed food for thought over the coming
weeks.
1. Live in a way that satisfies your essential needs without detracting from the chances of other people to satisfy theirs.
2. Live in a way that respects the right to life and development of all people, wherever they live, and whatever their ethnic origin, sex, citizenship and belief system.
3. Live in a way that safeguards the right to life and a healthy environment of all the things that live and grow on this Earth.
4. Pursue happiness, freedom and personal fulfilment in consideration of the similar pursuits of your fellows in your community, country and culture and in the global community.
5. Do your best to help those less privileged than you to live without hunger and penury, whether they live next door or in another part of the world.
6. Join with like-minded people to preserve or restore the integrity of the environment so that it can generate and regenerate the resources essential for human life and well-being.
7. Help children and young people to discover sustainable ways of living and acting.
8. Ask your government to beat swords into ploughshares and deal peacefully and co-operatively with other nations.
9. Patronise businesses that produce goods and offer services that satfisfy your needs without impairing the environment and aggravating the gap between rich and poor in your community and the world.
10. Give preference to newspapers, magazines, television and radio programmes and internet sites that provide regular and reliable information on the trends and events that affect your life and help you to make informed decisions on crucial issues.
It's an interesting mix of ideals but one which helps us
question both our attitudes to the planet and our day-to-day
actions. Perhaps these guidelines will help you
clarify the messages and advice you receive from your higher self and angels
which, by their very essence, are also guardians of our planet.

3. CONNECTING WITH NATURE SPIRITS
The angels often urge us to spend more time in nature - it is
a way of reconnecting with our true essence and spirit, so that we can find our
way once more, and be open to higher inspiration. Almost everyone feels better
for spending time in nature. Trees, flowers and plants have their own angelic
spirits (fairies, elfs, etc) to nurture them. That is why being in nature is so
nurturing and for us - we are surrounded by angelic spirits when we are in
nature.
Recently, I spent 3 days in a big city - when I saw a park, I
decided to go in for a rest, to recharge my sprits. As soon as I stepped into
the park, I felt my whole body immediately relax and go "Aahhh! That's better".
An hour in the park and I felt renewed again. Now that spring is with us, and
the beautiful flowers are out in bloom, why not take some time to visit one of
your favourite local beauty spots, and let yourself commune with nature. It will
be good for your soul.
4. ANGEL
STORIES - GUIDED TO MAKE CONTACT
Making contact with the Angels can
sometimes require more than peaceful meditation. Here's one story of how seeking
healing can clear the way towards successful communication.
Janet
felt blocked and had been unable to talk to her angels - she was getting
frustrated. Whilst meditating and seeking contact, she realised she needed to go
for some type of healing to release her internal blocks, as she could see that
these were creating difficulties all over her life. She prayed for
guidance.
A few days later, a magazine came through her door. There was
an article on past life healing which drew her attention. She then saw an advert
for a past life healer, and 'knew' she had to call for a session. 'It was
amazing' she told me 'So much came up which just made perfect sense and
explained so much'. She had some healing and felt 'like a burden had been lifted
from me'.
I understand that Janet has now had her first contact with her
angels. She realises she also has a lot of further self-work and healing to do,
to develop further, but the 'block' has brought unexpected benefits and
insights. She is delighted with what is unfolding.
N.B. Different people
may need different therapies, of course, to shift their own blocks - let
yourself be guided.
The angels are always there for us, and ready to
help us with large and small matters in our life. We have only to ask for their
help. Even when we think we aren't being heard, the Angels will respond in their
own way.
I suggest that you ask your angels to help you clear the blocks
and fears that hold you back in life, and allow yourself to move forward
harmoniously.
Best
wishes
With
Love & light
