1. Harmony and Co-operation
“To be able to find joy in another's joy: that us the secret of happiness” (Georges Bernanos)
We live in a world today in which many are seeking to find a new path for themselves – a higher, more spiritual, and more fulfilling life. As we each seek and find our own higher path, there is often a sense of being ‘out of step' with the rest of society – a sense of being almost alone. Many of my clients tell me they have relatively few friends who are open to similar spiritual matters, and would like to meet more like-minded souls. Do you have numerous like-minded spiritual friends, or would you also like more special relationships in your life?
It is in working with others that we usually find most joy and happiness. A close family with loving relationships is to be savoured and treasured. And yet working together is not commonplace in our society. How often do you find a group of people working joyously and harmoniously together? It is remarkable for its scarcity. Our society is built on individual success - getting on at school (studying on one's own), climbing the career ladder ahead of one's ‘competitors', and moving away from our home and family and in order to ‘get ahead' in life. Is it any wonder that we find ourselves alone and unfamiliar with the idea of co-operation and mutual support with others?
We must each find our true path for our lives. Having done so, I believe it will become increasingly important for us to learn to co-operate together in creating a better life and world for us all.
As we are all part of the One, and guided by the same Higher Power, it should be easy for us to connect and work together. However, we often have to overcome our own inner hurts and blocks in order to reach out to others. Often, our own inner healing journey involves us forgiving and releasing hurts from the past, and then being courageous enough to open up to divine and spiritual love, and being willing to share this love with others. It can be a mighty challenge, but a fulfilling one, for it is in helping others to be happy that our own deepest satisfaction often rests.
May I invite you this day to choose ONE person with whom you would like to have a better relationship. Perhaps it's a family member or relative. Maybe a colleague or a friend. It doesn't have to be problematic – just choose someone with whom you would like a BETTER relationship. Then think of one thing you could do which might help promote greater harmony between you. It could be as simple as giving them a call, or doing a small unexpected favour for them.

In the true spirit of harmony and co-operation, Richard (the editor) and I have decided to increasingly seek to co-operate with others who are promoting good spiritual work to this world. From time to time, we will feature other spiritual and light-workers, and their services, as part of this newsletter. You can see the evidence of this new spirit of co-operation in this very newsletter. We aim to bring you other opportunities which might assist your path, and also set an example in co-operation the benefits of working together with others. Having been guided to some other like-minded and complementary souls, who are equally committed to doing good in this world, and who were keen to co-operate with us, I can tell you that the feeling of mutual support, inspiration, encouragement and hope that comes from working together is wonderfully uplifting. I might even get to like this new approach myself!
I hope that this newsletter in some small way leads you to greater harmony and improved relationships in your own life too.
2. Archangel Chamual
Archangel Chamual (sometimes also called Camael) is the archangel to call on for help with our relationships and our heart chakra. Chamual's name means “he who sees God”, and often we would do well to see a part of God (the better part) within us, and within others too. Chamual helps to promote strong and lasting relationships that support our personal world and our work too. Chamual is said to govern the heart centre, the centre of love. Perhaps we need to open our heart centres again. Archangel Chamual will help you to forgive and release the past. Then you can open once more to unconditional love and acceptance of yourself and for others. If you are having any relationship problems, call on Archangel Chamual to assist you, and watch for signs and miracles.
3. Angel Story
I found this a very touching story on the subject of restoring harmony in family and relationships. Jane (not her real name) told me that she was having a family barbecue. As usual, her sister was in the garden, and she was inside, avoiding each other. Jane had always been jealous of her sister being her mother's favourite child (as she believed) and there had been a cold wall between them for too many years. This day, Jane decided to call on the angels for help. She was tired of this problem, which reared itself again and again at any and every family gathering. (She didn't know about archangel Chamual – she simply called to the angels for help).
She got a sense to pick up the magazine that was lying in front of her on the coffee table. The magazine fell open on an article all about forgiveness. With tears in her eyes, she realized that she needed to forgive herself, and her sister, for all this water under the bridge, and start anew. Just then, her sister's Yorkshire terrier appeared at the patio door, as if as a timely sign to go to her sister now. She told her sister of her deep-seated resentment and asked to be forgiven. Apparently, her sister had always felt inferior to Jane, her older sister, as Jane had always done well at school and in life. Their sisterly relationship began anew that day. Later, they were able to laugh about their mis-beliefs, and even discussed it with their mother too, who quickly assured them they were both equally special and both deeply loved. It brought all three of them closer together than ever before. Sometimes, all it takes is the willingness to heal a relationship and the courage to speak our truth (plus a little help from the angels of course).
4. Inner Peace Exercise - the Eye of the Storm
In our hurly burly world, we often need a moment to stop and centre ourselves again. In the middle of our busy world, a brief moment's respite can allow us to ‘reset' ourselves and continue with our day more productively and cheerfully. Here is a brief and simple exercise I would like to share with you, which you can do almost anywhere in just a minute, to restore yourself whenever and wherever you notice that you feel a little stressed or less than OK. This might come in useful particularly during your Christmas shopping or family gathering! Use it anytime it helps you.
BABAJI'S CENTERING EXERCISE – EYE OF THE STORM
I often speak with Archangels and other higher beings, as well as angels. Recently, I had a visit from Babaji, an ancient yogi master. I have always liked the sense of peacefulness and simplicity associated with Buddhism and Yoga. Babaji gave me the following simple exercise, which you can use to re-centre yourself, whenever you find yourself caught up in the hurly burly of life or overwhelmed by your thoughts. It is a simple exercise to help you restore the stillness within. It only takes a few moments. Try it yourself…
- Close your eyes
- Let all thoughts and worldly concerns drift away
- Breathe deeply – take some slow, deep breaths
- Reconnect with your Heart, Soul, Higher Self, or Inner Wisdom within
- Check for any guidance and messages about your situation.
- Open your eyes and resume your day with the resumed peacefulness within.
Like the ‘eye‘ at the centre of a hurricane, where everything is calm and still, in the centre of the storm, you can find that peaceful centre within you, when all around you is in turmoil.
When you reconnect with your own spirit and the spark of God within, you feel more content, more complete, and at one with the universe. This is also an ideal state from which to receive blessings from the Universe and the higher sources.
Try the exercise, now, and next time you feel stressed, and see how it helps you.
5. Angel Workshops with Chrissie Astell
Currently researching modern experiences of angels for her first book and PhD, Chrissie is fascinated by the human desire to connect with the angelic realms. If this is a secular society without the need of God then what is it that inspires this huge interest in angels? These wonderful beings of Love, Peace, Joy and Wisdom, known to us as protectors and guardians are messengers of God. Whether we believe it or not, we cannot have one without the other.
Chrissie feels very privileged to have found her true path and enjoys sharing it with like-minded people along the way. To this end she has become an experienced facilitator in providing guidance for those eager to find out more. With the desire to connect seekers with their own guardian angel she travels extensively and her individual and enthusiastic approach has become a popular source of inspiration at workshops throughout the UK.
A student of comparative religion Chrissie is keen to trace the origins of the strong thread of divine love which she believes binds us all in spirit. Having worked as a registered nurse specialising in the care of the elderly and dying, Christine has come to know the profound effect of the healing and loving energy of angels.
Angel programmes have become popular viewing and Chrissie has been a regular guest and has appeared on BBC's Kilroy " I believe in Angels ", ITV's Christmas special "Angels", BBC's Everyman documentary on Angels and a guest speaker on BBC radio's World Service on the subject of Guardian Angels.

6. Inspirational Message
One of the books which I, and many others, seem to find particularly helpful and inspiring is the Conversations With God series by Neale Donald Walsch. (This series is highly recommended to anyone who hasn't had the pleasure and benefit of reading them yet). One of my friends recently sent me this link to the Conversations With God web-site, and urged me to play it. It is a short video, with inspirational words and music, which is an absolute delight, which will brighten any day. Treat yourself to a few minutes break in your day and enjoy this lovely creation.
